Trails riders for sure but with all the years of experience in this group I would imagine there are a few "trials" in there some where..

C'mon now, around here trail riders take off across country and go anywhere.
Trials riders ride a certain route, marked by string, and aren't allowed to put down their feet.
Thats the hechova difference I was refering to.

I got IT

http://www.gasgas.com

http://www.trials.co.uk/index.shtml

these riders... The ballet of motorcycling.. balance, control, at the highest level...

http://members.shaw.ca/rjohns/ariel/bikecraf.htm

here is another link for the "back in the day" trials bike riders..

Is what I meant was some of the "ohio valley trails riders" have most likely done some trials stuff at 1 point in their life because at the meeting I went too my age 39 years old was young...a lot of these guys were riding before I was born! Lots of years riding( I felt not-worthy.... )

agreed...and it looks like these folks have quite a mixture of experience ...

took a quick look in their forums to see if we could get some more info on what kind of riding they do and all of the forums are empty.

here's a link to one of the archived news stories with some pics of a long distance trIals event:

and then here's a link to one of the archived news stories about a welsh 2 day sidecar enduro event:

again, looks like they do both

Well,

I often ride Long Distance Road Trials.....ie 80miles of road and off road riding on Road legal bikes. Then occasionly their is a section to ride through.

I am entering a Rally on my KLR650....loads of fun.

OVTR HISTORY Feb 03

The Ohio Valley Trail Riders was orginally The Ohio Valley Competition club and put on AMA motorcross, trials, short track, hare scrambles and did this from the late 60s untill the 80s when loss of land caused the club to change it's name and purpose. We became active in land use issues and recreational off road riding. Most of the members have street and off road bikes and a wide range of interest. We ride in Ohio, Ky, Colorado,Florida, Tenn.,UT.,MI., and Mexico. and just about anywhere there is dirt. Last year some members did long distance events on the road and some dual sport events. We will be camped in Ocala NF during Daytona so call for directions 513 317 7266

Does the Ohio Power Company give permission to ride on their land like they used to?
I used to get a permit card like a drivers license every year.
Course that was a long time ago.

The last time I rode thru Ohio Power land I was told to get a permit from them but I did not have any problems. The fishing is good at the small lakes and the riding on dirt roads was OK.
