Me too! I don't think I have missed it in 15 years? Usually went riding afterwords. In fact, there are a bunch of friends I tend to only see there once per year. Wish I had a place to have it.

Re: What are you riding to the Alley Shop?

Ok folks, I don't want the Alley Shop Meet to disappear. I have contacted the owner of Fuel Coffee down on the river where the sports car folks have a weekly cars & coffee meet on Saturdays and asked him if he would be willing to open on the Sunday morning before the Devil's Staircase Hillclimb (10-10-10) to host the Alley Shop crowd. He is all for it and would love to have us! The place has a huge parking lot right down by the river and they would be open for coffee & breakfast.

I need everyone's help getting the word out to all the different little groups that make up the crowd that normally shows up. Obviously this meet was always very cool because it was more of an underground/word of mouth type event, so I don't want to post it all over the internet. I just want to try to get the word out to those who have attended for years so we can continue the tradition.

I also don't want to step on anyone's toes either. I don't personally know Barry??? the owner of The Alley Shop and whether they have other plans this year or not?? If anyone knows anything, please chime in. I have called the Alley Shop's number a few times, and there is no answer. They have no website or anything anymore.

Here are some Fuel Coffee Cars & Coffee picture so you can get a feel for what the place is like if you haven't already been down there...

Mr. Morris & some of the British motorcycle club were talking about swinging by around 10AM tomorrow. They have been swinging by on a regular basis.

If you have never been there before, just remember that they changed the name of Eastern Ave. to Riverside Dr. Just go all the way to the bottom of Delta Ave. (south) past the Precinct restaurant & under the railroad bridge. Turn right (west) on Riverside Dr. It's just down the road on the right.

I think I know exactly where that is.. I used to stop for coffee on the way to downtown.. That's a good spot!

Either way, I was at VIR and, I'll be at Barber for the Alley Shop.
I have a shot at getting second place nationally if I do well at Barber so, I'm going to Barber. Sure hate to miss the Alley Shop-- wherever/whenever it takes place.

Re: What are you riding to the Alley Shop?

Right now I am at a loss. I need to let John @ Fuel know whatís going on because he has offered to open up on a Sunday for us, but I donít want to drag him out if we only have a handful of bikes show up. DOES ANYONE KNOW if something is going down at the original location even though the business is closed???? I have an alternative set up and ready to go if needed @ Fuel Coffee. The date is fast approaching!
