Looking for gravel/fire roads to explore in SW OH area

I ride a Wee Strom so I am not looking to do anything technical but I would love to do some riding off the pavement. Does anyone know of any good roads around the SW Ohio area? I can't seem to find anything on the Googles.

Thanks!

South West Ohio is lacking.
South East Ohio is loaded.
South East Indiana has a lot of good gravel roads.
Central Kentucky is best. You can put in a 120 mile day with less than 10 miles of pavement.
Good luck. Finding them is half the fun.
Check your map for small twisty roads that cross a creek several times in a short distance. They will always be good.

Thanks!
Shawnee Park has some well groomed gravel roads, as well as plenty other roads in adams county. But from being on the west side southern In should have a lot to offer as well. I been on a fair amount of gravel in In but dont have a clue were I was when we found it!

I would more than willing to show you the gravel out east but it takes about an hour to get there from my house.

Do a search and look for Joern posts he had some good ds routes back in the day!

Re: Looking for gravel/fire roads to explore in SW OH area

Thanks guys. I'll look for Joern's posts. I was kinda hoping for stuff pretty close because I only get like 1.5 to 2 hour windows to ride. I'll try exploring a little more in Indiana. I'm sure I'll find something. Trouble is, out there there aren't road signs so it's hard to tell what is a road and what is private property. I don't enjoy being shot at

Speaking of windows, I'm getting into one of those right now. Time to ride!!!!

Another thing you'll run into is public roads that adjoining landowners claim as there own when it maybe clearly marked on maps.. My gps would always find the gravel when I would set it to shortest route and no interstate next thing you know we are on some goat path

I'll try that. I don't have a GPS but I'll see if I can do it with Google or Map Quest.

I did find a short gravel road on the way to the Dirt Bike track in Harrison. Probably a half mile access road. Saw a couple of deer. Let's hope i find some longer ones
