While I certainly don't like the news or delivering it, I know many of us knew Dave.

Sadly Dave suffered some complications with an existing health issue recently and yesterday left us to go ride with Super Sic, Kurt Casseli, and others we have lost far too soon.

RIP Dave, I always enjoyed your company!

Passed away Monday, December 23, 2013, at the age of 49. Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2013, at Hodapp Funeral Home (LIBERTY TWP.) 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd. Liberty Twp. OH 45044 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Holy shit. I hadn't heard. I just spoke to Dave a few weeks ago, several times actually, and although he was a bit concerned about his health issues, he was looking to just kick back and retire from the mulch business, selling off a few of his bikes and collection of 'stuff' in his garage, and just spend some time living life for a while instead of working so hard. This comes as a huge shock to me.

Only knew Dave a short while but I quickly saw what a kind and generous person he was .... one of those guys that would do anything for anybody types.

49 is waaaay too early. RIP Dave! You will be missed.

I spoke with him many times when he needed parts for his projects. He was a great guy. He lived more in his 49 years than most could ever wish for.

Ouch. Terrible thing. I think I only met him once at EBN, but he certainly has lots of old friends here on LR. I pray that peace and serenity from grief come to him and his family at this time of year. RIP
