No longer available, on YouTube? ...or no longer available to be purchased? I can still see the YouTube Trailer, and I bought my copy shortly after my initial post.

There's probably a Royal Enfield or two in there. That's what the "Riding Solo to the Top of the World" was done on. ...and a 350 at that.

Re: One Crazy Ride

Reminds me of a trail ride I did with some friends. We got to a creek with some high water due to recent rains. Only choices were go back or ride through it. I made the deal. If I make it everyone else has to follow! I stayed dry by putting my feet on the tank. I made it and everyone else got soggy but made it across OK.

Re: One Crazy Ride

I thought "Riding Solo" was a bit slow and needed more motorcycle content, but it was still a good documentary. The trailer for that one made the movie appear a little better than it actually was. The trailer for this one looks really good too. I'm just hoping that's not all of the good stuff in the whole video. Hehe... Maybe this one will be better, and with five riders, I would expect the coverage to be better as well. Guess I'll see in a couple weeks. How do you cross a bridge like that? Unload all your gear and walk it across to make it as light as possible? Who goes first? The guy who is always last to pack up in the morning or the one who snores the loudest? Hehe...

It's much better viewing (and listening) at their website. The music is worth the price of admission alone, and hearing them speak about their journey is priceless.

I think I'd want to do a trip like that on a KLR (or similar bike), though...

Re: One Crazy Ride

Riding Solo, One Crazy Ride, and now... a third video in the works.

Quote:
In our first film, Riding solo…, I came across the "Chang pa" – a nomadic people living in the Changthang - a high altitude desert in the Himalayas. I spent close to two months with the Chang pas, living in their tents and traveling with them. They fondly called me the "Motorcycle Chang pa", since I was traveling on a motorcycle.

Starting July 2010, I ride out to the Himalayas and the Changthang desert again to interact with the Chang pas. But this time, I intend to spend one year traveling with them, especially during the six months of harsh winter.

Alright, I know this MOTO ADV stuff is very romantic and such, but you are completely limited by fuel availability, so how remote can you really go? ..And "a route where there is no route"? In nearly every scene they are on a double track road of some sort? When there is a welcome sign at the MTN top, It may just not be that remote...Just some impressions from an objective viewpoint. Nice vid and music either way.
