Re: 2010 and 2008 Tiger 1050 in Florence, KY

Took the 2010 off of CL.

The main objective with buying the 2008 was the super low miles (now at 8,600) and the unmolested stock trim. Well that and having a reliable bike to facilitate the Austin, TX MotoGP experience and travel home with.

After spending enough time riding the two bikes I'm convinced that the big bad 42k miles on my 2010 have done nothing but improve the bike! The 2010 has a custom PCM tune to match the K&N filter and Remus pipe. It pulls like a freight train. Plus it has ABS.

The blue 2008 is pretty. Too pretty for my tastes in fact.

Riding the two bikes back to back is awkwardly different. The 2010 feels more powerful but also more heavy/less nimble. The 2008 feels less electronic in her moves. I've accidentally backed the 2008 around turns dozens of times while my 2010 maintains better composure. I can also scrub the chicken strips completely off the 2008 and the 2010 I've gone through 6 sets of tires and never come close to doing that.

Long winded reply, but the 2008 is a fantastic bike and is still for sale. The current asking price is a realistic OBO. I haven't minded owning 2 at once, it's kinda nice!
